Writing an Abstract

Draft Abstract

Game design has come a long way since its' conception. Specifically the evolution of games being made in 2D to now 3D. through this evolution, a look into the combination of 2D and 3D has started to be made, such as the use of the Euclidean space, but only minimally. As a game designer I have seen the limits being made around using 2D and 3D in a single game space and I plan to explore that. To bring new ideas and push the limits of how the two dimensions could be used or interact. I will be looking at creating strangeness using the space between 2D and 3D in a games landscape. utilising the possibilities of level design and interactive narrative to bring together two different dimensional styles in a single game environment.
